American Eagle Institute leads the way with a proven, comprehensive curriculum and an all-English environment. The students learn to speak English confidently while getting a well-rounded education, and the teachers develop and use skills that are directly applicable to classrooms in North American school systems.
There are three types of full-time positions to which teachers may be assigned according to the needs of the school. The classes are all Monday through Friday on a regular schedule, and in the same location. Training, lesson plans, and teaching materials are provided.1 .Kindergarten/Elementary, 2.Immersion/Elementary
All of these positions begin in August. The total monthly earnings, including salary and bonuses, average NTD$62,000 to NTD$67,000.
The pay is supplemented by performance and contract completion bonuses. Benefits include health insurance, accident insurance, paid holidays including a Chinese New Year holiday that is usually two weeks long, paid sick days, and floating holidays in the spring. The school provides initial airport pickup, accommodation at a greatly reduced rent, and lunch and dinner on school days. Once you are in Taiwan, the school will help you apply for a resident visa and ARC, though fees are covered by the teacher.
To qualify
You must commit for at least one full school year.
You must have at least a bachelor's degree, with your diploma as proof.
You must be a native-speaker of English.
