Insistence on quality English education as the starting point

With an ambition that is crystal clear, together we have succeeded in creating a completely new immersion-style English learning environment. First let me introduce AEI's excusive, copyrighted educational system, which directly links our students with North America and the world. No matter if it's the management of teaching quality, or the creative R&D of teaching materials and curriculum, Eagle has fulfilled its promise to become the new signpost for English education. Ceaselessly innovating and insisting on quality, Eagle has endowed Taiwan with the creation of a new model for learning English.

Sometimes I get a chance to chat with parents whose children have recently joined Eagle. They often ask me, "At the end of the day, what's the difference between Eagle's educational system and materials and that of another English organization?" Many parents say that their child's English has become extremely solid after studying at Eagle, and children who have had a chance to study abroad found it possible to get on track completely. They didn't have to worry about any obstacles to learning. How do we do it?

Back in our school days, English was just a subject to study in school or a hobby, but now a fluent English ability is an important basis for competitiveness. Therefore a teaching system without depth and without an ability to link up with the world is unable to nurture world-class English skills in students. That was how the idea to give the children of Taiwan a kindergarten and elementary school English curriculum based on the North American educational system was brought to life. In the process of directly and wholly transplanting the North American educational system, we have built an all new educational concept and structure. The goal was to use mother tongue or immersion learning to go hand-in-hand with the introduction of teaching materials and textbooks co-published with the U.S. educational publisher McGraw Hill, using the North American curriculum as a standard. With this curriculum, designed to get them in step with North America, children can produce results that are the same as their North American counterparts, and build a sturdy foundation for their future education, employment, and career development.

The "spiral curriculum" is another special characteristic of Eagle. With a gradually advancing sequence, moving from a simple level to a more complex level, and learning new concepts while reviewing old concepts, our students never stop learning. The curriculum formed by this system allows language to sink deeply into the brain, and to become a kind of natural ability that shows outstanding results. Add to this the rich learning interfaces of reading, spelling, science, writing, speaking and listening, and language arts, which add depth and range, and foster the close coordination of mutually connected crucial points, and the interconnected learning of students is strengthened. The groundwork for language is deeply laid.

The teaching materials used by Eagle are completely in step with North America. They are textbooks used in regular North American schools and kindergartens. The E.S.L. curriculum found in the current market cannot provide the depth and breadth of our curriculum, which covers the contents of English standardized testing. Now that the General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) is fully in use, our students at Eagle are able to handle it with skill and ease, passing it effortlessly. This once again serves as validation that following Eagle's educational system to study English provides a solid foundation for lifelong learning.

Having been in the business of teaching English and reseaching and implementing new educational programs for years now, I have held many ideals and ambitions, and I have been given the chance to realize them. Along this path, although there have been hardships, there have been many consolations. Because of the insistence on the quality of teaching materials and the pursuit of innovation in R&D, the students of Eagle can get on track with the rest of the world, and can smoothly continue their studies in North America, not to mention pass the national GEPT and establish a strong foothold for themselves here in Taiwan.
