Kindergarten Program
- Children acquire English in much the same way as their native language, in an English immersion learning environment.
- North American curriculum standards have been adopted.
- Consistent, systematized teaching methods and materials are applied across the program, employing the spiral curriculum design.
- An exclusive, 30-text series, Look at Me! I Can Talk, developed exclusively by EECE, teaches children daily conversation and fundamental grammar principles.
- The Building Blocks series of weekly vocabulary booklets is tied to monthly themes of high interest to young learners.
- Phonics skills are introduced to give children essential early reading and writing proficiency.
- A whole language reading program helps instill in the children an interest in reading.
- The curriculum includes mathematics, arts and crafts, music, physical education, and science. Field trips and holiday celebrations ensure balanced development among all subjects.
- Show and tell, family picnics, Christmas pageants, and a graduation play enhance the learning process, helping children build their confidence and abilities to communicate in front of people.
- The children's worldview, independent thinking skills, and lifetime learning abilities are developed.
- After completion of the three-year program, children can easily transition to Grade 1 in North American school systems.
Immersion Program
- North American educational standards are adopted.
- English only instruction creates an environment that fulfills the Immersion Program goals.
- Teachers' qualifications, curriculum, and teaching materials are synchronized with Grades 1 and 2 in North America. Materials include the New Dimensions textbook series, supplement with materials developed by EECE.
- The curriculum includes mathematics, arts and crafts, and science to enhance the children's vocabulary and knowledge.
- Listening and speaking skills are naturally developed, laying the foundation for successful reading and writing in English.
- Silent reading and journal writing bring the children's reading and writing abilities up to international standards.
- Western and Eastern holiday celebrations open the children's eyes to the world, expanding their global view.
- Our multimedia facility reinforces English learning.
- Children can easily transition to Grade 3 in North America after completing Grade 2 at Eagle.
Elementary Program
- English only instruction creates an environment that fulfills the Elementary Program goals.
- Everyday intensive English classes follow North American English education standards.
- Teachers' qualifications, curriculum, and teaching materials are synchronized with North America. Materials include the New Dimensions textbook series, supplemented with materials developed by EECE.
- Western and Eastern holiday celebrations open the children's eyes to the world, expanding their global view.
- Listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills are progressively developed, encouraging children to read and write in English outside the school environment. Sustained silent reading and journal writing further develop the children's reading and writing habits.
- Children are prepared to pass the Beginner GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) and the Junior High School English Government Exam upon completion of Grade 3 from Eagle.
- Children are prepared to pass the Intermediate GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) and the Junior High School English Government Exam upon completion of Grade 5 from Eagle.
Winter Camp
- Depending on the school calendar, a one- to two-week program is offered between elementary school semesters.
- The program follows Eagle's English-only policy.
- Specially selected reading materials, intensive daily reading, and group book discussions make reading interesting, at the same time improving the students' reading comprehension.
- Daily subject writing and book reports enhance students' writing skills and instill an interest in writing.
- Guided social studies help students discover different world cultures.
- Field trips and other activities round out the program.
Summer Camp
- Two one-month programs are offered in July and August.
- The programs follow Eagle's English-only policy.
- Specially designed themes—for example, News and Media, Drama, Environment, Culture, and Science—correlate with different subjects to enhance the learning experience.
- Daily subject writing and book reports enhance students' writing skills and instill an interest in writing.
- Carefully selected reading materials expand on the camp theme, improving students' reading skills.
- Teachers are North American elementary or secondary school teachers. Teaching assistants are North American university students or highly qualified Chinese English teachers.
- Field trips, a dramatic production, or a large theme-based exhibition augment the program.
