今天弋果新鮮事要討論的話題是工作場合 (the Workplace)。因為台灣越來越國際化，不管是哪一種工作，都有越來越多的外國人加入，所以我們應該試著去瞭解別的國家，當我們不懂爲什麽時，難免會覺得很frustrating (洩氣，很煩)，不瞭解別人想要表達的意思或是理解錯誤都會產生爭執(lead to arguments)。對許多外國人來說，Taiwanese people work like crazy! 20% more than their counterparts in the United States or Japan and more than 35% longer than those in Germany. Answering Negative Questions 否定句的回答

《Example 1》
Don’t you have any money? (你沒有錢嗎？)
Yes, I do. (if you do have money)  (不，我有錢。)
No, I don’t. (if you don’t have money)  (對的，我沒有錢。)

《Example 2》
Didn’t you bring my book? (你沒有帶我的書嗎？)
No, I didn’t. (是的，我沒帶。)
Yes, I did. (不，我有帶。)

註: 在英文，以yes回答, 一定接肯定句; 以no回答, 一定接否定句。這與中文的回答邏輯有異

 

《Example 3》
Would you mind posting this letter for me? (你介意幫我寄這封信嗎？)
Of course not.
Not at all. (當然不。)

註: 以中文的邏輯應該是”好啊，沒問題 (Yes, certainly.)” ; 但在英文卻不是如此，應該要以否定語氣答覆: 當然不 (Of course not)。
