English Corner

We're going to continue talking about some of the biggest traps and mistakes people fall into when learning English. Although these mistakes apply to learning any second language: Not correcting your mistakes (知道有錯誤可是不改); Just having 'learning English' as your goal. Set smaller goals along the way. (立學英文為目標,應該要給自己一些小步的、比較近距離能達到得到目標); Focusing on non-verbal methods (太過注重於非口語的學習, 如讀寫); Using outdated learning methods (仍用過時的方式學英文); Not stepping over your boundaries (步伐太快,學習的東西超越您的能力太多)

Question of the Day 弋果一點通

    Usage of Sarcasm :

Why do people use sarcasm? To make fun, and bring a light to the situation.

    《Ex.1》
Boss: Ben, you're 30 minutes late. Get in here now!
Ben: Oh great, just my lucky day.

    《Ex.2》
Teacher: I've got a surprise for everyone. Tomorrow we're all having a pop-quiz.
Ben: Fantastic, I can't wait. Quizzes are my favorite.
