NTU Top Student: Eagle Laid the Foundation for My Success
Inside NTU’s Liberal Arts Building, the sound of the class bell echoed through the hall as Eagle’s founder reflected on a 25-year educational journey, drawing enthusiastic participation from NTU students. Among the packed audience, the most moving were the Eagle alumni, who expressed deep gratitude and described Eagle as the foundation that supported their growth and helped them reach NTU and achieve academic success.
Peggy’s Story: From Kaohsiung Girls’ High School to NTU, Excelling in Both International Competition and English Learning
Peggy, from Kaohsiung, is now a senior majoring in Business Administration at NTU. She and her sister, who is currently studying medicine at Kaohsiung Medical University, are both Eagle alumni. Reflecting on their participation in the International Exhibition for Young Inventors (IEYI), the sisters not only won a gold medal, but also confidently presented their ideas in fluent English to Taiwan’s Minister of Education, demonstrating outstanding communication skills and academic confidence. This experience further strengthened Peggy’s determination to pursue her academic goals.
Notably, during her exchange year in the United States last year, Peggy found herself missing her time at Eagle even more. She shared that after leaving Eagle and transitioning into a more exam-oriented educational environment, she needed additional time to adapt to life abroad. Looking back, she came to appreciate how natural and enjoyable learning had felt during her years at Eagle.
Shane’s Reflection: From Eagle to Hsinchu High School to NTU, Building a Strong Foundation for the Future
Currently a sophomore majoring in Chemistry at NTU, Shane looks back with deep gratitude on his time at Eagle’s Dongda Campus (now the Jingguo Flagship Campus). He shared that his elementary education at Eagle not only laid a strong foundation for his admission to Hsinchu High School and NTU, but has continued to benefit him throughout important stages of his life. He still remembers the names of both his local and international teachers and remains grateful for their dedication and guidance. Many of his former classmates are now also studying at NTU, sharing the same sentiment, that Eagle helped open the door to their future opportunities.
These alumni stories reflect Eagle’s 25 years of educational excellence. With gratitude, they honor their alma mater and offer heartfelt recognition of Eagle’s educational mission and values. Moving forward, Eagle will continue supporting more students as they write their own stories of growth and achievement.
As Eagle approaches its 25th anniversary, the achievements of generations of students continue to reflect the lasting impact of its educational mission. As Qing Dynasty poet Lu Daoyue once wrote, “Spring need not be sought beyond the eastern fields, it lives within every home.” In the same spirit, Eagle’s influence can be seen in the growth and success of students across generations.
