Recognized for Advancing Quality Education, Eagle Wins the Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Award for the Second Consecutive Time (or Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards)
Net zero initiatives, sustainability, and AI have become some of the most widely discussed topics worldwide. As technology evolves and generations shift, both opportunities and challenges emerge. The question is: how can we ensure that the vision of sustainability is not just a passing trend, but a lasting commitment?
On 21 July, the “2nd APSAA Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards 2023,” organized by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, held its annual awards ceremony. As one of the region’s most influential annual events, the awards celebrate exceptional contributions toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In its first year participating in the awards, Eagle Educational & Cultural Enterprises, Ltd. received the Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Award and became the first and only organization from the English language education sector to be recognized in the SDG 4 (Quality Education) category.
Founder Stephanie Sun and President Elsa Wey accepted the award on behalf of Eagle at the ceremony, joining Premier Chen Chien-jen, ambassadors from across the Asia-Pacific region, and sustainability leaders from various sectors in celebrating this honor..

With 25 years of professional teaching experience, Eagle Educational & Cultural Enterprises, Ltd. is widely regarded as a leading force in English education, having nurtured countless outstanding alumni both domestically and internationally. In response to the wave of digital learning and artificial intelligence, Eagle continues to innovate with forward-thinking educational solutions such as the Orbiterra Smart Learning Platform and Eagle Hybrid Learning, creating innovative learning experiences that connect learners across generations. By integrating resources from industry, government, and academia, Eagle works toward a shared vision of sustainable education and a better future for all.
Stephanie noted that education is the foundation of national strength and a key driver of internationalization. Eagle’s philosophy centers on a balance between mutual growth in teaching and learning and sustainable development. Placing students at the heart of our mission, we listen closely to feedback from students, parents, and franchise partners to refine our curriculum, strengthen cross-sector collaborations, and extend our outreach to rural communities. Through these efforts, we aim to integrate the values of sustainability into every aspect of teaching and learning. Our goal is to move beyond the classroom and foster a culture of lifelong learning for the wider community.
Education Beyond the Classroom: Connecting to the World
Sustainability is reshaping the future of education, sparking a new wave of transformation across the sector. Eagle has met this challenge with the “Joyful Learning Paradise: The Grand Bilingual Train Experience” initiative. This program channels a steady flow of educational and recreational resources into the community, enhancing Taipei’s international image while fostering social inclusion. These impactful efforts earned the project recognition at this year’s Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Awards
Stephanie explained that the initiative moves beyond traditional instruction through a unique synergy between the corporate and public sectors. Since partnering with the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation in 2022, the program has transformed the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park into a hub for bilingual discovery. Features such as bilingual signage and interactive QR codes directly support Taiwan’s 2030 National Bilingual Policy. These efforts elevate the park’s international profile, positioning Taipei as a leading family-friendly destination in East Asia with a strong international outlook.

As a KidSAFE-certified platform, Orbitera, Eagle’s online learning platform, provides a secure and non-violent space for modern learning. Operating on a 'cloud school' model, it cultivates digital-ready global citizens through a versatile curriculum aligned with international CEFR standards. The platform uniquely integrates live human interaction with self-study modules, allowing for the spiral application to integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. This flexible online platform enables students to learn anytime, anywhere, reinforcing knowledge through repeated practice and comprehensive understanding.
Stephanie further emphasized that Eagle has long upheld its educational mission: “Quality English Education. The Key to Your Future.” This vision closely aligns with the United Nations’ SDG 4: Quality Education. In recent years, Eagle has actively engaged in public welfare initiatives, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and embedding sustainability principles into both its curriculum design and core strategies.
Stephanie further emphasized that Eagle’s long-standing mission, 'Quality English Education. The Key to Your Future,' perfectly echoes the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Striving to serve as a model of sustainability within the industry, Eagle has embraced its corporate social responsibility through meaningful social initiatives and deeply integrate sustainability into both curriculum design and core educational strategies
“Wow! What a beautiful train!” The newly redesigned Galaxy Train at Taipei Children’s Amusement Park has quickly become a must-visit attraction and a popular photo spot. Featuring vibrant visuals of Orbiterra characters and their adorable companions, the train and its stations now offer a lively and engaging environment for children.
This transformation is part of Eagle’s Orbiterra initiative, which adopted and revitalized the train with bilingual visuals and playful IP characters. From queuing areas to the train cabins, children are immersed in a bilingual environment, with access to free English learning through songs, videos, and QR code interactions, turning every moment into a fun learning opportunity and creating a vibrant buzz across the park.

For nearly a quarter of a century, Eagle has remained committed to advancing professional English education. In 2023, it introduced innovative programs such as the Hybrid Learning Dual-Engine Program and the Golden Learning Triangle, integrating with the Orbiterra platform to create an immersive English-learning environment and significantly enhance learning outcomes. Receiving the Asia-Pacific Sustainability Action Award on the eve of its 25th anniversary marks a meaningful milestone, highlighting Eagle’s tangible contributions and impact in advancing quality education.
By leveraging technology, Eagle connects English education with data-driven insights, AI applications, and smart digital devices. Its three core teaching strategies enhance student focus and motivation while fostering a human-centered experience that transforms innovative educational ideas into measurable learning outcomes.
From Vision to Impact: A Forward-Thinking Approach to Online Learning
Sustainable education begins with action. Guided by a people-centered philosophy, Eagle is committed to supporting students in rural and underserved communities by continuously investing in professional educational resources. Since 2021, Eagle has supported the boxing team at Wufeng Junior High School in Hsinchu County by helping build an international-standard training ring. In 2022, it started to bring its highly acclaimed English summer camp to rural elementary schools. In 2023, it launched a Ten-Year Reforestation Initiative, while integrating environmental conservation and ESG awareness into its curriculum for the next generation. These individual initiatives now form a cohesive network, creating a connected network of sustainable educational initiatives that reflects Eagle’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and the future of education.
Stephanie emphasized that Eagle remains dedicated to building a premier international education brand with a forward-looking educational vision. This journey offers children a profound, globalized learning experience that extends beyond systematic advancement into a vibrant range of diverse disciplines. At Eagle, student growth is tangible; as children immerse themselves in global cultures through language, they develop a proactive learning mindset and the critical thinking skills necessary for independence. Ultimately, this comprehensive education empowers students to become confident learners capable of shaping their own futures.
