Elephant Escapes from Zoo

Intensive 3A Rosa Lin

Student Read-Aloud

Have you ever seen an elephant running down a city street? You might not believe it, but I saw one stomping on the sidewalk, chasing crowds away, crashing into trees, and even standing on top of cars. It seemed dangerous and frightening to walk near the elephant. However, some curious people still wanted to take the risk by taking photos nearby. I wondered how the elephant got out of the zoo and appeared in the city.

Normally, elephants are kept in zoos. Why did the elephant escape from it? I suspected the zookeepers hadn’t given it good care or enough food to eat, which drove it crazy. That’s why it destroyed the fence and escaped. I immediately called the police for help. When the police arrived, they tried to calm it down by dancing in front of it. Then, they prepared a cage filled with bunches of bananas to lure it inside. The elephant slowly walked in and enjoyed tasty bananas. Finally, the elephant finished its incredible journey and was safely back at the zoo.
