The Power of Education and Compassion
At American Eagle Institute, we have always believed in giving back to society through education and actively supporting community initiatives that bring together compassion and learning. In partnership with the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, we have organized the “Bringing Love to Rural Communities” program for three consecutive years, creating meaningful holiday experiences for children in rural areas alongside our international teachers. Through English plays, festive celebrations, and interactive learning activities during Thanksgiving and Christmas, we strive to provide children with joyful learning experiences filled with warmth, encouragement, and hope.
We are also committed to supporting equal opportunities in sports and the holistic development of children. By donating professional boxing equipment and training resources, we support athletic programs in rural communities and encourage students to build resilience, confidence, and perseverance through sports. In addition, Eagle continues to promote the “Healthy Living, Nourishing Love” senior care initiative, showing care and respect for older adults through healthy dining programs, cultural exchanges, and companionship activities that bring warmth and connection to their daily lives.
Education is a lifelong journey, and we firmly believe that every child deserves access to a high-quality learning environment, while every act of kindness has the power to create meaningful change. American Eagle Institute will continue to harness the power of education to inspire social progress and help build a brighter future for the next generation.
Planting Seeds of Love, Bringing Care to Rural Communities | Yuan Dong Junior High School Edition
A sudden afternoon downpour in June soaked the grounds of Yuan Dong
Junior High School and disrupted the training schedule of the girls’
softball team. What first seemed like a rare chance to rest soon gave
way to the rhythmic echoes of “One, two! One, two!” coming from the
second-floor weight room. Smiling shyly, the coach simply said, “When it
rains, we change the way we train. We have to keep practicing —
otherwise, we’ll rust.”
During the pandemic, adaptability became essential. In April that year,
as the COVID-19 outbreak rapidly intensified, members of the girls’
softball team were infected one after another, catching everyone off
guard. Not only did they miss the preliminary rounds of the National
Softball Association Cup, but the upcoming national league was also
canceled due to the pandemic, leaving the team deeply disappointed.
Yet in difficult times, kindness often shines the brightest. American
Eagle Institute connected campuses across Taiwan through the “Eagle Run:
21-Day Virtual Running Challenge,” hoping to bring encouragement and
companionship to these children. Every message of support became a
source of warmth and connection, carrying the hope that one day the
pandemic would pass and that children across Taiwan would emerge from
those difficult years stronger and more resilient. “Thank you to all the
big brothers and sisters at American Eagle!” the girls’ softball team
said in unison, bowing deeply to express their gratitude. Their bright
smiles touched everyone’s hearts.
