If I Were the Principal

One day, I was going to a school in Hsinchu because it was my first day of being principal of the school. It is a new school called Dong Yuan Elementary School. The last principal of the school was sick and had to stay at home, so the manager of the school called me to come to their school. At eight o'clock in the morning, I went on the stage and told all the students my new rules for the school. They were going to have extra break times every day. They had an extra twenty minutes of break time, but they were going to have another class for the teachers to use. What they were learning in class was going to be decided by their teacher. On the stage, I could see they weren't very happy about it. I was shocked because I thought it was a nice idea. The next day, I started the rule, and a lot of students came to me and said that it was too much work to have eight classes a day, but I told them I would give them some rewards every Friday. They finally felt happier and went back to their classrooms. On Friday, I ordered drinks and snacks for them. They were so happy that they didn't make any complaints about my idea. I thought if I continued to give them things on Friday, they wouldn't complain anymore, so I always gave them rewards, and they liked me more than the last principal. I was very happy about it. But unluckily, I went to another school because the school's principal was back after a year. They were all sad about it, but I had no choice. I could only go to the other school.
